Dear Dhrubo,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. I am writing this to share with you about the amazing celebration of Pahela Boishakh that we had here in Bogura last week.
It was a beautiful day with bright sunshine and a cool breeze. People from all walks of life gathered in the streets to celebrate the Bengali New Year. The atmosphere was filled with the sound of music, laughter, and joy. I joined a group of friends, and we started the day by visiting the local temple to offer our prayers.
After that, we headed to the main event, which was held at the city center. There were various stalls set up, selling traditional foods, clothes, and accessories. We tried some of the delicious dishes and sweets, and I especially loved the pitha and jilapi. The place was beautifully decorated with colorful lights and banners, adding to the festive mood.
Later in the day, we watched a cultural program, which was a performance by local artists. They sang traditional songs and performed dances, creating a lively atmosphere. The highlight of the program was a play, depicting the cultural and historical significance of Pahela Boishakh.
Finally, as the sun set, we joined the crowd in a grand procession, carrying colorful flags and singing songs. It was a truly unforgettable experience, and I felt proud to be a part of such a rich cultural heritage.
I miss you and wish you could have been here to experience it with me. I hope we can celebrate this special occasion together next year.
Take care and keep in touch.
Best regards, Nihal
