Meaning of Digital Bangladesh: The word Digital refers to a system based on the continuous flow of data or events. And the term Digital Bangladesh refers to a society based on knowledge. The object of establishing a Digital Bangladesh is to ensure an ICT (Information and Communication Technology) driven knowledge-based society. In such a society, information will be readily available online, and where all possible tasks of the government, semi-government, and also private institutions will be processed using technology.
Benefits: The benefits of numerical Bangladesh are many. If we can establish a numerical Bangladesh, enhancing transparency and accountability will drastically reduce corruption. It will make people think globally and connect them with the whole world economically, politically, socially academically, and even culturally. It will improve banking and financial activities. Agriculture, health, education, commerce – all these sectors will be highly benefited by making Bangladesh a digital one.
Necessary steps: For implementing this dream of digital Bangladesh, the government has to take certain initiatives. First of all, an uninterrupted power supply has to be ensured. We have to develop computer network infrastructures throughout the country. We also have to train our people to acquire ICT skills and ensure equitable access to digital governance services for all states of society. Digital governance will curb crime and corruption and pave the way for our country’s rapid development.
Conclusion: So, to see our country a digital one, government commitment and people’s co-operation are urgently required. Finally, our education should be computer-based and in primary and secondary schools students should get easy accesses to the computer.
